Shadan Institute Pulsation 2011
Pulsation, the ongoing nine-day college fest, showcased dance workshops, sports competitions, live band performances, an event along the theme of the MTV reality show Roadies, cooking competition, and a Vintage car show all in the first six days. The fest has turned into a massive hit with not only the students of the organising colleges, but also the visitors to the fest.
Organised by the Shadan Institute of Medical Sciences and Dr V.R.K. Women’s Medical College, the fest kicked off on October 27. The `12 lakh-event will end on November 4 with a fashion show.
Students of the colleges, the future doctors of the country, let down their hair and took a break from their books to enjoy the fest. Munam Maryam, a first year student of the college says, “It’s my first year in the college and I am thrilled to be a part of this event that is a great opportunity for first year students like us to interact with each other and get to know the college better.”
Saad Mahmood, a second year student says, “This year’s fest has been bigger and better than last year, the event has been planned in a larger and better way. I have participated in all the events of this year’s fest.”
Dr Afiya Tazeen, intern with the college enthuses, “It’s been a memorable fest, our batch has won most of the games and it’s a great way to interact and spend time with friends after a year of studies.” Dr Sana Amreen echoes, “The fest surely is the best days of our college life.” Dr Momina Rahman, an intern part of the organising committee says, “The College has been very supportive with any plan we proposed for the fest. We wanted to ensure that students remember these days forever.”
The Director of the Shadan Institute of Medical Sciences, Dr Sharib Rasool Khan, remarks, “The college students have worked very hard to put this event together and we are happy that they are enjoying themselves. They have been staying up late nights designing banners and posters and what not. I hope that they make full use of this event and enjoy themselves.”
Shadan the pioneers of Education in the State of A.P with numerous schools and colleges (M.C.A, M.B.A, Engineering and Medical) comprising of 57 institutions from K.G to P.G. PULSATION 2011 which is the First of Its kind substantial Event by a medical college in India commenced from 27th October, 2011. The Event is being jointly organized by Shadan Institute of Medical Sciences and Dr. VRK Women's Medical College. The Medical colleges are the brain child of Dr.Vizarath Rasool Khan founder and chief promoter Shadan Educational society, Dr. Vizarath Rasool Khan a visionary himself who has successfully promoted two medical colleges in state of Andhra Pradesh, one amongst them Dr.VRK Women's Medical College is .the first women's medical college in India. Shadan Medical College is a state of art medical college with 1500 Beded Hospital comprising various modern medical facilities being provided to patients free of cost. Shadan Institute of Medical Sciences (SIMS) commenced in the year 2005 and has successfully completed its first batch in 2010 with many students getting Gold Medals and distinctions, with an overall result of 98% in Dr.NTR Health University Exams.
