The Wall, Rahul Dravid bids adieu to ODIs today
Rahul Sharad Dravid, 38 has been a regular member of the Indian cricket team since 1996. He also was the captain from Oct 2005 to Sep 2007.
He has had an illustrious career in both tests as well as one day internationals (ODIs). Even though, the WALL with the ability to hang on for a long innings is known for his solid technique and this is considered more suitable for Tests, he has a formidable ODI record as well.
In Tests he in the second all time run getter.
ODI Record-
- 10,830 run in 343 innings. 12 hundreds and 82 fifties.
- He has an impressive average of 39.49, with a strike rate of 71.22.
- Dravid’s 331-run partnership with Sachin Tendulkar is a world record in ODIs.
Today as India get’s ready for their last match in England and Dravid’s farewell game in what has been a very tough English series, we wish him success in his test career as a key player who had helped India reach the Uno spot in Test cricket. We hope India get’s back the UNO spot with contributions from players like him.
GO Dravid !
