Khammam:
Large number of devotees thronged Hanuman temple at Brahmanapalli under
Wyra mandal on Monday as tears rolled down from an eye of the deity.
The priest of the Hanuman temple Aditya opened the temple in the early
hours and performed special puja including Abhishekam. After this,
devotees from Khammam and Krishna districts in Andhra Pradesh came to
the temple and offered prayers. Hundreds of coconuts have been broken by
the devotees. Suddenly, tears started rolling down from one eye of
Anjaneya Swamy and the priest Aditya wiped them out with a cloth. But,
the tears did not stop. The news spread as a wildfire.
Priest Aditya said that Swamy is a Swayambhu and it is an ancient and
sacred temple in the area. People from various parts of Telangana and
Andhra Pradesh used to come and offer pujas to the God. “I never
experienced such an event in the temple and I tried to wipe the tears
out with the cloth,” he said.
