Ravi Teja (born Bhupatiraju Ravi Shankar Raju on 26 Jan 1968) is an Native indian Telugu movie actor. He won the Nandi Award for Best Actor for the movie Neninthe in 2008. He has actedin other movies such as Avunu Valliddaru Ista Paddaru, Idiot, Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi, Venky, Bhadra, Vikramarkudu, Krishna, Kick, and Mirapakaay.

Early life

Ravi Teja was born as Bhupatiraju Ravishankar Raju to dad Bhupatiraju Rajgopal Raju and mom Rajya Lakshmi Bhupatiraju on 26 Jan 1968 in the Native indian town of Jaggampeta, Andhra Pradesh, indian. Ravi's dad was a pharmacologist and mom was a homemaker. He is the oldest of three kids and the other two Bharath and Raghu are also stars. Ravi Teja spent most of his childhood years in North Native indian because his dad used to shift very often due to his work. Due to that, his education was done in Jaipur, Delhi, Mumbai and Bhopal. Ravi Teja finished his education at N.S.M. public school. Later on he shifted to Vijayawada along with his close relatives and finished his Bachelors in Arts at Siddhartha Degree College. From beginning child hood Ravi Teja had imagined of performing in movies. Consequently, in 1988 he went to Chennai to begin his profession in films

Personal life

Ravi Teja got wedded to Kalyani in 2002. The couple have two kids, Mokshadha and Mahadhan. He is known to be best friends with Puri Jagannadh.

Career

He started his profession with little roles in movies like Karthavyam (1991), Chaitanya (1991) and Aaj Ka Goonda Raj (1992). After getting few years of experience, Ravi became an assistant director. He worked in both television and movies. As an assistant director, he proved helpful in several Bollywood as well as Telugu projects such as Prathibandh, Aaj Ka Goondaraj, and Criminal. He met Krishna Vamsi and proved helpful as an assistant director under him for the 1996 hit movie Ninne Pelladutha. Vamsi also provided Ravi an opportunity to act in a little part in that movie. He ongoing to work as an assistant director for few other films.

In 1997, while still operating as an assistant director, Ravi got an probability to act in the film Sindhooram instructed by Krishna Vamsi. Vamsi throw Ravi as one of the lead stars. The film was seriously recommended and won the Nationwide Film Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu. Ravi Teja's performance was seriously recommended and was valued by the movie-goers. This was the turning point for Ravi's acting career. In 1999, he was throw in a major role by Srinu Vaitla for Nee Kosam co-starring Maheswari. The movie was seriously recommended and won the Silver Nandi for Best Film. Ravi Teja won the famous Nandi Award for Best Actor Special Jury for his performance.This was Ravi's first award. Following this, he began showing in more important roles such as Krishna Vamsi's Samudram, Chiranjeevi's Annayya and Budget Padmanabham. He also showed up in cause roles in multi-starrer movies such as Kshemanga Velli Labanga Randi, Tirumala Tirupathi Venkatesa, Sakuntumba Sapari Vare Sametham and Ammayi Kosam.

2012 was one of the most severe years in Raviteja's profession. He had 4 releases in that season but none of them visited at the Box office but Raviteja's performances in these movies were recognized by the Experts. His first launch this season was Gunasekhar's Nippu.The Film became the Greatest Catastrophe these days and in Raviteja's profession as well.His next launch was Siva's Daruvu which appeared Taapsee Pannu as his co-star. The Film was an "Above Average" grosser at the Box office.But Raviteja's performance was recognized by Critics.His next launch was Puri Jagannadh's Devudu Chesina Manushulu.The Film launched on 15 Aug 2012 admist high expectations but was a utter-flop at the Box office. His last launch this year was Parasuram's Sarocharu which appeared Kajal Aggarwal, Richa Gangopadhyay, Jayasudha and Nara Rohith in other important roles which launched admist great expectations. The film, which was stated to be Raviteja's Category overall look after a long time, was a "Below Average" grosser at the Box office.
