Miyapur (English pronunciation:
/ˈmiːjɑːpʊər/ mee-yah-poor; Telugu: మియాపూర్), a suburb of Hyderabad, the capital
of the Indian state of, Andhra Pradesh. Miyapur is today a part of "Greater Hyderabad",
which is administered by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and
is fast developing as the residential and transportation hub for the people of Hyderabad.
It is located on NH9, the Pune-Hyderabad-Machilipatnam highway. Hafeezpet (HFZ)
MMTS station is the nearest to Miyapur. Miyapur is an active township with many
residential apartments, colonies, schools, hospitals and communities for it's denizens.
There have been many developments in the last decade and it is fast developing into
a major residential, educational, transportation and commercial hub. It is designated
as a "high-rise" zone and the demand for real-estate has increased. There are
two lakes and, many recreational and entertainment facilities.
