The Amarchinta Samasthan had an area of about 190 sq. miles in
Mahboobnagar District. This was also one of the most historic estates being more than 700 years old.
During the Bahmani rule, Akram-ul-Mulk, on behalf of the Bahmani kings, planted his flag on the bank of the Krishna and called upon all the zamindars and chiefs to pay tributes or Peshkash. All the. zamindars obeyed the command except Raja Ram, the chief of Amarchinta Sa.masthan. Consequently by the order of Akram-ul-Mulk, he was captured and produced before the king. The king, pleased with the courage of the Zamindar, rewarded him with the office of Deshmukh.
The subsequent Deshmukh of Amarchinta maintained cordial relations with the Qutb Shahi kings. One of the descendants of the family, Raja Sriram Bhupal, died and was survived by his wife. She was accepted as the lawful successor to the Samasthan. Amarchinta Samasthan was noted for fine muslin.
