Khairath Khan was appointed an Ambassador during the reign of Sultan Abdullah Qutb Shah. A widely travelled man, he was sent to Persia and returned to Hyderabad in 1634. He was promoted to the rank of Minister. When the grand-mother of Sultan Abdullah Qutb Shah was proceeding on a pilgrimage to Mecca, Khairath Khan accompanied her as far as Masulipatnam. Khairath Khan built several shops and gardens close to the northern steps of Musa Burj in the Golconda Fort.
Khairath Khan died in the year 1655 and his grave is in the old city of Hyderabad near Gowlipura gate.
