Musa Khan was the Minister as well as the General of Abdullah Qutb Shah and served the kingdom faithfully. He defended the fort in 1656 against Aurangzeb’s army during the reign of Sultan Abdullah Qutb Shah. The famous Musa Burj of Golconda was built by him. When Musa Khan was given charge of construction of Mecca Masjid, he was allowed a discount of one “Damn” per rupee out of the building expenditure. He utilised the savings for building the famous Toll Masjid, near Caravan. Unfortunately he was involved with Syed Muzaffar and was put in confinement in 1674.
