Hyderabad: Dismissing
the show cause notice he had received as a “routine affair” in the
party, senior Congress legislator Komatireddy Venkata Reddy on Monday
said that he would submit his reply to the AICC and not the TPCC.
Speaking to newsmen here, Mr Venkata Reddy wondered why notices were
not served to former Union minister Sarve Satyanarayana and MP Palvai
Govardhan Reddy, or other Congress leaders, when they had repeatedly
criticised CLP leader K. Jana Reddy.
“This is a clear case of discrimination. I am not liked by PCC chief
Uttam Kumar Reddy,” he said. Terming Congress “an ocean”, he said that
such kind of notices or allegations are not new in the party.
Mr Venkata Reddy asked Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao not to
take lightly the KRMB’s recommendation to the Centre seeking
notification to take all irrigation projects under its control.
“Instead of writing letters and keeping quiet, it would be prudent
for the CM to personally meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and water
resources minister Uma Bharathi to exert pressure on them not to go
ahead with the notification, he said.
“The KRMB is working to see AP interests are served, rather than
remaining an impartial body,” he alleged. He said that without
allocation of water to various projects it was not desirable to bring
all projects under control of KRMB which is firm acting in favour of AP.
